Job Description

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Program Manager of Sungwoo Hitech America Corp, the Program Assistant Manager is responsible for updating BOM's & PO once EO is approved and is the customer's main point of contact for projects. The Program Assistant Manager clearly communicates project expectations to internal and external team members and is responsible for reporting project results. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Customers main POC (Point of Contact) for projects from initiation to closure Oversees SOP open item list - discuss with customer and internal teams Updates BOM once engineering order is approved and released Shares updated BOM to internal teams Communicates with internal teams to update the BOM in SAP system. Receives visual change design (VCD) or engineering change request (ECR) from customer and requests a quotation and lead time from internal teams Manages engineering change list and leads weekly engineering meeting Discusses cost impact details with customer Requests feedback on the feasibility from internal teams and summarizes all information Timing control for plant engineering order implementation and customer delivery Manages obsolescence costs process with internal team and customer Reviews and submits the required quotations.
  • Controls engineering change history and shares with internal teams Manages part price changes and submits SAP price changes Acquires internal approval for kick off of each engineering change
  • Manages customer asset (tooling) and handles commercial issue with customer o Implements and maintains tooling list for customers o Updates tooling lists when Engineering changes are released o Prepares documents for tooling & invoicing o Handles commercial issue for customer, such as tooling audit preparation
  • Manages, updates and maintains FG price to insure accuracy Manage price changes on each engineering change Checks monthly FG part price based on steel price change Monitors Contract conditions every week.
  • Manages all US plant existing and new programs through development and launch
  • Supports the customer with any commercial issues
  • Updates long-term volume/sales forecast
  • Liaison between US and Korean staff
  • Responsible for any open issues related with the Program Education and/or Experience B.
S. Degree in International Trade/Business or Engineering 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a Tier I automotive supplier Bilingual English/Korean required due to communications between HQ and customers SAP experience preferred Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening Great interpersonal skills Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities Exceptional time management and organization skills In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices Must be able to work overtime as needed as work load dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays. Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths The employee is frequently required to sit, talk hear, walk and use hands to handle, feel and reach The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

Physical Demands:
While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load's dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Work Environments:
Job requires dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and background checks.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
