This position will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for all students. The Instructional Assistant works under the direction of a certified teacher to provide individualized and small-group support, assist with classroom management, and help ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
  • Help monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times
  • Support students with special needs in accordance with their IEP or 504 plan
  • Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or campus administrationComplete the Service and Support Personnel Application located on the district website using the link provided.
