Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking a qualified and experienced ASL Interpreter to provide dedicated interpreting services for a kindergarten student during the 2026-2027 school year . This opportunity is ideal for an interpreter who is passionate about supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and helping ensure meaningful access to communication and education in a school-based setting.

Setting:
Onsite, school-based Responsibilities Provide professional ASL interpreting services for a kindergarten student throughout the school day. Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers. Support the student's access to classroom instruction, activities, and school events. Accurately interpret spoken communication into ASL and ASL communication into spoken language as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support the student's communication and educational needs. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries within the school environment. Support an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement. Required Qualifications VQAS Level 3 or higher OR EIPA score of 3.0+ . Experience providing ASL interpreting services in an educational setting preferred. Strong ASL communication and interpreting skills. Ability to work effectively with a young student in a kindergarten classroom. Strong communication, professionalism, and collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite for the duration of the assignment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience interpreting for elementary or kindergarten students. Experience working in a school-based setting. Familiarity with educational terminology, classroom environments, and student support teams.
