The School District of Hartford Jt. #1 is seeking motivated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our team at both the elementary and middle school grades. As a paraprofessional, you'll work alongside teachers and support staff to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in a positive, inclusive learning environment. The School District of Hartford Jt. 1 is a 4K-8th Grade district located northwest of Milwaukee in scenic Washington County. The ideal candidate will:
Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Hold or be willing to obtain Wisconsin DPI Special Education Aide license Guide and supervise elementary students with medical, behavioral, learning, physical, social, or attention issues Demonstrate and utilize strong communication Will remain detail-oriented and efficient Build positive relationships with students and families Be flexible in planning, scheduling, and working with students and/or the program Work with students, team members, and parents, in a positive and supportive manner Be committed to continuous improvement and best practices to create a positive and safe learning environment which supports students' overall well-being and academic success Guide and supervise students, maintaining a positive learning environment, and foster a positive attitude toward learning Be willing to be trained in non-violent intervention and able to handle behavioral and classroom plans Maintain confidentiality The School District of Hartford Jt. 1 does not discriminate in the employment of any staff on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex (including gender status, change of sex, sexual orientation or gender identity), pregnancy, creed or religion, genetic information, handicap or disability, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, military service (as defined in 111.32, Wis.
