Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Elementary tutor for a 2nd grader for Reading. A bright, eager, young student. NO Online Tutoring for this student. Tutoring to take place In-person in the student's Hidden Valley home. Weekday tutoring is required; mornings or afternoons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be able to provide motivational support and engagement with kindness, care and patience. Student has ADHD. One-on-one or small group tutoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent tutoring using positive reinforcement and building self confidence.
• Skilled tutoring, teaching using the student's own curriculum and real time assignments.
• Ability to simplify concepts, help build better study habits and organizational skills if needed.
• Help to improve academic performance and praise small victories with a step by step approach.
• Assist students with guidance and understanding of course materials and meeting their individual academic needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree.
• Former teachers/subs are encouraged to apply. A teaching credential is not required.
• Proficiency in Language Arts along with other core curriculum subjects is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience working with students.
• Excellent communication skills with Parents, Student, Company Admin.
• Simplify concepts and adaptability with different student earning styles.
• Basic technical skills for reporting sessions on our tutor platform, writing concise student progress notes, and communicate in a timely manner.
