TITLE:

Parent Tutor - Intergenerational Literacy Program

GENERAL DUTIES

Tutor in a class of up to 20 learners, under the direction of the classroom teacher Engage with learners in small groups, using authentic materials that emphasize topics of learner interest Provide feedback to learners during classroom instruction, while suggesting additional strategies they can use to support their English language comprehension and fluency Support learners in using program technology during classroom instruction Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the program director

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent Working proficiency in English Experience working in education Knowledge of family literacy, ESOL, ABE preferred Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic preferred An adult who has participated in the Intergenerational Literacy Program (ILP) preferred U.S. Citizen or work authorization

HOURS:

8 - 19.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

$21.00 REQUIRED
