Job Description
Manti Elementary is seeking enthusiastic, dependable individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Reading Tutors and AmeriCorps Math Tutors during the upcoming school year. These positions provide a meaningful opportunity to help students strengthen their academic skills while serving your local community.

Available Positions
AmeriCorps Reading Tutor - 900-hour service position
AmeriCorps Math Tutor - 900-hour service position
Position Summary
AmeriCorps Tutors work directly with students in Manti Elementary School to provide targeted academic support through one-on-one and small-group instruction. Tutors collaborate with teachers and school staff to help students build confidence, improve academic performance, and develop a love of learning.
Essential Responsibilities
Reading Tutor
Provide individualized and small-group reading interventions.
Support students in developing fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and foundational literacy skills.
Encourage positive reading habits and confidence.
Monitor student progress and maintain required tutoring records.
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to help meet students reading needs Math Tutor
Provide individualized and small-group math interventions.
Help students strengthen foundational math concepts and problem-solving skills.
Reinforce classroom instruction using district-approved materials.
Monitor student progress and maintain required tutoring records.
Both Positions
Build positive relationships with students and staff.
Provide consistent academic support to help students achieve growth.
Participate in AmeriCorps and district training opportunities.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Complete required AmeriCorps documentation and service logs.
Attend scheduled meetings and professional development.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Enjoy working with children and helping students succeed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated.
Ability to pass all required background checks.
Commitment to completing the required AmeriCorps service hours.
