Soccer, Flag Football and Basketball Overview Join Team Prime Time as a Full Inclusion Multi-Sport Referee for the Prime Time Games®, a unique interscholastic sports program that brings together students with and without disabilities from the same school.
Referees officiate soccer, flag football, and basketball games while helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive experience for every student. This role is ideal for someone who understands youth sports, communicates well, and can balance fair competition with the individual needs of participating athletes. This is a seasonal, part-time position with games primarily held after school. Referees will receive training on Prime Time Games rules and program modifications. About the Prime Time Games The Prime Time Games® is Team Prime Time's full-inclusion sports program. The program pairs students with and without disabilities from the same school so they can practice and compete together. We are hiring dependable referees to officiate youth soccer, flag football, and basketball games in the Los Angeles Antelope Valley and San Bernadino areas. Referees help create a safe, positive, and inclusive experience for all participating students. Responsibilities Officiate Prime Time Games soccer, flag football, and basketball games Learn and enforce Prime Time Games rules and program modifications Promote fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship, and inclusion Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, coaches, staff, and spectators Manage game time, substitutions, and player conduct Adjust the pace of play to support athletes with different abilities Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled games Participate in required referee training Report safety concerns, incidents, or game-related issues to program staff Qualifications Knowledge of soccer, flag football, basketball, or other team sports Previous refereeing, coaching, or playing experience preferred Experience working with youth preferred Comfortable working with students with and without disabilities Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Dependable, professional, patient, and attentive Reliable transportation to assigned school and event locations Ability to complete required background clearance and employment documents Schedule This is a seasonal, part-time position. Games primarily take place after school on weekdays, with occasional weekend championship events. Hours vary based on the game schedule and assigned region. Applicants may indicate which sports they are qualified to officiate and whether they are available for Los Angeles, Antelope Valley, or both areas. Compensation $25
