Kicks to Learn is looking for Flag Football Referees to officiate youth flag football games at elementary school sites in Menifee. We're looking for confident, responsible individuals who understand the game of football and can create a fun, fair, and positive game environment for elementary-aged players. This is a great opportunity for current or former athletes, experienced referees, coaches, college students, or individuals with strong knowledge of flag football. Responsibilities Officiate youth flag football games Enforce game rules consistently and fairly Explain calls and rules to players in an age-appropriate manner Maintain control of the game and keep play moving Promote good sportsmanship and respectful behavior Ensure players follow safety guidelines Communicate clearly with coaches, players, and Kicks to Learn staff Help create a positive and encouraging environment for young athletes Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled games Qualifications Strong knowledge of football or flag football rules Previous refereeing or coaching experience preferred Experience working with children is a plus Confident communication and decision-making skills Fair, patient, professional, and dependable Comfortable officiating energetic elementary-aged players Able to remain calm and professional when disagreements arise Reliable transportation to assigned school sites Must be able to successfully complete required employment/background screening Official referee certification is preferred but not required. We are willing to consider candidates with strong football knowledge and experience who are interested in youth officiating. Schedule Part-time, after-school hours (3:40 - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday) Weekday afternoons Game schedules will vary based on school-site programming If you are available 2-3 days a week, please continue to apply as we work well with personal schedules Compensation $20.00 per hour Why Join Kicks to Learn?
