With three campuses along Colorado's Front Range, FRCC is the state's largest community college. Job Summary:

As a part-time instructor in the Machining department, you provide instruction in all levels of Precision Machining, including certificate and/or transfer levels. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop an innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success are your top priority. You utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills. Machining Instructor provides hands-on instruction, and supervision to students enrolled in Precision Machining courses. Working within established curriculum and course outcomes, this position helps students develop practical machining skills through demonstrations, guided practice, lab activities, and individualized instruction. Machining Instructor is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and industry-relevant learning environment and ensuring students develop appropriate technical skills and safe work practices while using machining equipment. Course assignments are made based on experience, availability, and the needs of the department; as a result, you may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities. This position requires a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses.

Minimum Qualifications:

A related associate degree or credit-bearing post-secondary certificate or relevant current industry license or certification and 4,000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years; OR A related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2,000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years; OR Any unrelated degree without a relevant current industry license or certification with 6,000 verified occupational/industry hours within 10 years AND a Skills Demonstration for Minimum Teaching Qualifications verified by the Lead Faculty/Program Director and/or Industry Subject Matter Expert. Equivalent experience document with rubric must be completed, submitted, and approved. OR No degree or credit-bearing post-secondary certificate or relevant current industry license or certification with 10,000 verified occupational/industry hours within 10 years AND a Skills Demonstration for Minimum Teaching Qualifications verified by the Lead Faculty/Program Director and/or Industry Subject Matter Expert. Equivalent experience document with rubric must be completed, submitted, and approved.

Related Degree:

Related degrees/credentials include, but are not limited to: Any degree that involves Manufacturing, Machining, Physical Science or Engineering (i.e., mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer, material science, aerospace, metallurgy, biomechanical, mechatronics, optics, photonics, physics), NIMS Materials, Measurement and Safety credential, any machining US Department of Labor or Military registered or accredited apprenticeship of 2 years or more, any American Society for Quality certification, any American Society of Mechanical Engineers GD&T certification, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt certification, or any MSSC Certified Production Technician credential. Qualifications can vary based on course. CTE Credential:

This instructor position will be teaching Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. In addition to the qualifications listed above, the selected candidate must have a current CTE credential or the ability to obtain one within one year to teach. Selection Process:

The selection process for this instructor position will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. Preliminary screening will be based on the completed application package submitted by the candidate. This is an open talent pool. Applicants will be contacted based on the needs of the College. Open talent pools close on May 1 and reopen based on the needs of the College. Position will remain open until filled with a priority deadline of August 26. This posting may be used to fill multiple or similar positions.
