Lauderdale - 3.3 Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications School experience CPR Certification Teacher collaboration Family collaboration in education Teaching Certification Elementary Education Teaching Certification Experience working with elementary school students Student engagement classroom management Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grade K-6 Teacher with Exceptional Student Education (ESE) certification to provide high-quality instruction and support to elementary students. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment, develop individualized instructional strategies, and help students achieve academic and personal success. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Florida State Standards. Provide differentiated instruction to meet the unique educational needs of students, including those with disabilities. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodation as required. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records. Collaborate with parents, administrators, therapists, and other educational professionals. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment. Conduct assessments and use data to guide instruction and interventions. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities. Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Education requirements and school policies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Valid Florida Educator Certificate with Elementary Education (K-6) certification. Valid Florida ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Certification . Minimum 2 years of teaching experience , preferably in an elementary or ESE setting. Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain prior to employment. Successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening as required by Florida law. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. Experience developing and implementing IEPs. ESOL Endorsement or certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods. Benefits Competitive salary based on education and experience.
