Description:
Supports direct academic and behavioral instruction to high school students individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings Perform non-instructional, non-evaluative functions Help students master equipment/instructional materials assigned by the teacher Provide classroom management functions Assist with supervision of students during emergency / fire drills, assemblies and field trips Provide escort and assistance to students as necessary Work cooperatively and positively with coworkers and supervisors Participate in in-service training programs as assigned Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising special education teacher, principal, or Director of Special Services.
Qualifications:
Maine Department of Education Education Technician I-III Certification Current CHRC fingerprinting. Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your
CHRC MUST
be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
