Job Description

Characteristics of a successful candidate: Interesting, interested, and fun! Patient and flexible. Enjoy working with individuals and leading groups of diverse ages, abilities, and demographics. Comfortable on a team and also working independently What you'll do : Teach virtual and in-person programs to school groups, K-12. Support the Programs and Education team in outreach, booking, follow-ups, and maintaining records. Assist in developing program curriculum and support materials for all ages. Lead in-person youth and intergenerational programs both in the park and surrounding communities. Serve as support staff for in-person and virtual public programs.
Physical aspects of the role:
Regularly traverse uneven terrain and elevation changes throughout the CVNP. Frequently exposed to seasonal outdoor weather conditions and wildlife while leading programs. Noise level is moderate to loud. Able to lift and move up to 40 lbs A relevant bachelor's degree is a plus. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation. Experience with environmental issues, science, arts, education, recreation, and health. Demonstrable experience working with children is preferred; elementary, middle, and high school. Able to speak, read, and write clearly and coherently in the English language. Able to work regular hours for the position and other hours for special events as assigned. Help bring learning to life.
