Senior Research Staff & Post-doctoral Fellow Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 537232) We now invite applications for the captioned post. Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Stroke Research and Prevention Group of HKU (stroke.hku.hk) to assist in neuroimaging data acquisition and analysis, write-up of the results, as well as training of students Apply image analysis skills on clinical and research MRI techniques and sequences to study patients with stroke and dementia, or at risk of these conditions, in large cohort studies as well as randomized controlled trials Perform other duties as assigned Requirements A Ph. D. degree in Neuroimaging, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other related disciplines, with experience or keen interest in processing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), such as arterial spin labeling and diffusion tractography using programming scripts, such as Python and C++ Self-driven, motivated, and creative in designing image analysis pipeline according to project requirements A good communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team Experience in image analysis packages such as Freesurfer, FSL, SPM, or 3DSlicer, or using machine learning or artificial intelligence models would be advantageous What We Offer The appointee would be exposed to ample opportunities in developing an academic career.
