ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Drafter at ASC Process Systems, you'll bring mechanical designs to life by creating and updating detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. You'll work closely with our mechanical engineers, revise fabrication drawings, create bills of materials, and help ensure every design is accurate and ready for production. Your work will support impressive equipment used across aerospace, defense, and ASC's exciting expansion into the nuclear industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generates and revises 2-D and 3-D model and drawing files for mechanical designs. This will require use of AutoCad and Autodesk Inventor design software to generate drawings, parts and assemblies. Analyzes as-built fabrication drawings to determine if drawing revisions are warranted and complete all changes prior to equipment shipment. Follows and processes quality control procedures including proper revision control of drawings. Creates bill of material on design drawings and proper documentation to part data in ASC's in-house software. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to generate drawings based on engineer models. Generate models based on reference models and execute design modifications as required. Complete revision updates across multiple designs to implement global production changes. Maintain organized files for models and drawings per ASC standards. Expected to demonstrate compatibility with ASC's stated Team Values that include working safely, having a positive attitude, leading by example, showing an eagerness to learn, being a team player, working efficiently, and focusing on producing quality work.

REQUIREMENTS

One to two years of related drafting or design experience. Proficient in 2D and 3D computer-aided design software. Coursework or professional experience using 3D modeling software. Enthusiastic and dependable team member who works well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Positive attitude and a can-do approach. Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office. Able to use electronic document management systems. Able to type at least 50 words per minute.
