What you'll do: + Design metal roof layouts for commercial and residential projects as a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Specialist. + Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation. + Convert sketches, concepts, field measurements, and engineering notes into accurate digital drawings. + Prepare layouts, schematics, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation. + Verify dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure design accuracy. + Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle. + Update drawings as project requirements and customer needs evolve. + Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry requirements, and applicable regulations. + Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to support successful project execution. + Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design process. + Work primarily in an office environment with occasional local travel as needed. What you'll bring: + Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field. + Experience creating technical drawings using CAD software. + Ability to learn and effectively utilize proprietary CAD software. + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, blueprints, and technical specifications. + Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. + Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
