Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, with overtime as needed Job Summary Personnel Placements is seeking an experienced CAD Designer/Drafter for a manufacturing facility in Milan, TN. The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining accurate technical drawings and CAD models used to support manufacturing and production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure designs meet project and production requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings and CAD models based on project specifications.
• Develop accurate technical drawings, layouts, dimensions, and design documentation.
• Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, production, and other departments to understand design requirements.
• Make revisions and updates to existing drawings and designs as needed.
• Ensure drawings and designs are accurate and meet company and industry standards.
• Assist with resolving design and drafting issues and make recommendations when appropriate.
• Provide technical drawings and support to manufacturing and production teams.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, revisions, and other design documentation.
• Track and document changes to drawings and ensure current versions are properly maintained.
• Perform measurements, calculations, and other design-related tasks as needed.
• Assist with research and gathering information needed to complete projects.
• Work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines and production requirements.
• Maintain familiarity with CAD software, design practices, and applicable industry standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
• Previous experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, or similar position preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D drafting and modeling.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visualize and translate concepts into accurate drawings and designs.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, production, and other team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
• Technical degree, drafting certification, or related education is a plus, but relevant CAD experience will be considered. Work Environment
• Work is primarily performed in an office/design environment but may require time in a manufacturing or production area.
• Must be comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and BR2
