From land acquisition and planning through construction and project completion, we work with engineers, surveyors, municipalities, utility providers, and development partners to bring projects to life. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Land Development CAD Designer to help transform development concepts into successful projects. Position Summary The Land Development CAD Designer will support a variety of residential and commercial development projects by preparing subdivision plats, master plans, site layouts, exhibits, and development drawings. Working closely with our project managers, engineers, and surveyors, you'll play an important role in shaping projects from the earliest planning stages through final approval. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys precision, problem-solving, and seeing their work become real-world developments. Responsibilities Prepare subdivision plats for residential and commercial developments. Assist with master planning, site planning, and lot layout design. Prepare and revise site plans, exhibits, and development drawings. Interpret legal descriptions, survey data, engineering plans, and construction documents. Close survey boundaries using legal descriptions and survey information. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and other consultants to ensure drawing accuracy. Maintain organized CAD files and project documentation. Manage GIS data and prepare maps and exhibits as needed. Assist with entitlement, permitting, and construction-related drawings. Ensure drawings meet applicable municipal and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred). Experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS software is a plus. Strong understanding of land development, subdivision platting, and site layout principles. Ability to interpret legal descriptions, survey data, plats, engineering plans, and construction documents. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of experience in land development, civil engineering, surveying, or a related field. Experience preparing subdivision plats and development exhibits. Familiarity with municipal platting requirements and development standards. Degree or certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, GIS, or a related field.
