The G Group LLC | DFW, Texas We are a small residential design and drafting firm looking for a reliable Production Drafter / SketchUp Designer to assist with our growing project workload. We are primarily looking for someone who is proficient in both AutoCAD and SketchUp and can jump into projects with minimal direction. This role is focused on production support, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking an existing design and turning it into clean, accurate drawings and 3D models. What You'll Be Doing Residential floor plans, elevations, roof plans, site plans, and other construction drawings Drafting and updating plans in AutoCAD Creating and modifying SketchUp models Producing plans from sketches, markups, measurements, and design direction Making revisions based on client and project feedback Setting up and maintaining organized drawing files Assisting with construction documentation and presentation drawings Helping with rendering/model preparation as needed Working independently while communicating clearly when questions come up

What We're Looking For Required:

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Strong proficiency in SketchUp Residential drafting experience Ability to read and understand architectural plans Strong attention to detail Ability to follow design direction and meet deadlines Reliable communication and ability to work independently A plus: Enscape experience LayOut experience Residential construction knowledge Understanding of basic building codes and construction methods Experience with remodeling, additions, or new construction Position & Compensation We are currently looking to start on a 1099, per-project or per-task basis . The initial workload will be based on the projects and production needs we have at the time. This could develop into a more consistent hourly position depending on performance, reliability, workload, and how well we work together. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term working relationship with a small design firm rather than someone simply looking for occasional drafting work.

Work arrangement:

Primarily remote, with occasional in-person needs depending on the project.
