Drafter III Express Employment Professionals - Longview, TX Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Drafter III for a manufacturing company in Longview, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented drafting professional who enjoys working with engineering teams, supporting manufacturing operations, and developing accurate technical drawings.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software based on markups, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions. Create and revise technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and bills of material. Collaborate with engineers, designers, production employees, and leadership to resolve design issues and ensure projects are completed on time. Review engineering specifications and drawings to identify potential design or production concerns. Modify designs to correct operating deficiencies and reduce manufacturing issues. Verify material dimensions to ensure proper fit and function. Maintain current CAD standards and organized libraries of production drawings and bills of material. Apply problem-solving techniques, including root cause analysis and the 5 Whys. Support manufacturing initiatives and communicate project updates as needed.

Qualifications:

Typically requires 4-7 years of related drafting experience. Associate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education preferred. Experience with CAD and CAE software. Manufacturing industry experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with production employees, engineers, and leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to a team environment.

Work Environment:

Primarily a general office environment, with time on the manufacturing plant floor as needed. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with changing priorities.
