Process Engineer

Job Description

SCOPE:
Pre-Tech manufacturing and machining strategies pertaining to process of manufactured component build commencing at quote/proposal inception or reoccurring job schedule through the final inspection.
CORE DUTIES
Plan component lifecycle routing: material analysis/sourcing, machining availability/capability, tooling advisement, holding strategies/fixture development, programming concern analysis, "in-process"/final inspection equipment and inspection method identification in compliance with customer specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments to verify planned processes, procedures, and outcomes are consistent with expectations. Communicate with members of engineering and programming team in part planned development. Advise on cost effective new technology/equipment to enhance efficiencies within operational cycles. Coordinate and execute customer communication related to drawings/blueprints/technical spec clarifications. Identify and communicate projected obstacles or concerns with customers specifications. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner - defined by customer request. Complement continuous improvement efforts in applicable areas identified by upper management.

Special projects as needed Update and maintain Customer Print database through SQL based ERP system Approve and update routing, equipment, fixture, or tooling changes Conform to
AS 9100 D
Standards Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering or equivalent education and experience Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications. Knowledge and experience with SQL ERP systems. Advanced Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills. Extensive blueprint analysis interpretation skills. Advanced knowledge of 3D modeling software. Enhanced knowledge of CNC programming software languages/code.

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
