We are partnering with an established and growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an experienced Civil Market Director to lead and expand its Civil Engineering practice in Northwest Florida. This is a unique leadership opportunity for a seasoned Professional Engineer who is passionate about developing people, building client relationships, and delivering impactful infrastructure projects that strengthen communities. The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a technically accomplished engineer with extensive experience in municipal and public infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in driving business growth, mentoring engineering talent, and overseeing the successful delivery of complex civil engineering projects. What You'll Do As Civil Market Director, you will provide leadership, technical guidance, and strategic direction for the Civil Engineering team while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the Civil Engineering practice while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Manage the planning, design, and execution of municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects.
Provide technical expertise in:
Stormwater management Hydrology and hydraulics Pond design Drainage systems Collection and conveyance systems Oversee project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and quality control. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to identify permitting requirements and prepare permit applications and supporting documentation. Prepare engineering studies, technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation. Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for continued growth. Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting technical excellence and professional development. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that positively impact the communities served. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain Florida licensure through reciprocity. 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience. Strong background in municipal and public infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects. Proven success managing project budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Strong business development mindset with the ability to cultivate long-term client partnerships. Preferred Experience AutoCAD Civil 3D Microsoft 365 Suite ICPR or other state-approved hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software Florida permitting processes and regulatory agency coordination Why This Opportunity?
