Duties Develop comprehensive structural designs for a variety of projects, including steel, concrete, masonry, and geotechnical systems, ensuring adherence to relevant building codes and regulations. Utilize advanced structural analysis tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to evaluate load capacities, stability, and performance of structural components. Prepare detailed drawings and documentation using CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to communicate design intent clearly. Conduct thorough building code analysis and ensure all designs comply with local construction regulations and safety standards. Coordinate project scheduling and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Collaborate closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders through effective communication to align project goals and resolve technical issues promptly. Oversee construction phases by providing technical support, reviewing shop drawings with Bluebeam or similar software, and conducting site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications. Skills Extensive experience in developing structural designs across various materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and geotechnical systems. Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as FEA software and advanced CAD programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS applications. Strong knowledge of building code compliance, construction regulations, and safety standards applicable to diverse project types. Demonstrated expertise in project management including scheduling, resource allocation, and technical oversight. Skilled in technical writing for reports, specifications, construction documents, and client communications. Familiarity with BIM workflows for integrated system design and collaborative project delivery. Ability to interpret geotechnical data and incorporate geotechnical engineering principles into structural solutions. Excellent communication skills for effective client engagement and team collaboration in fast-paced environments.
