Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Civil Engineer. Make a difference in the West by assisting with managing, developing, and protecting water and related resources in an environmentally and economically sound manner in the interest of the American public. Responsibilities Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Conduct complex studies and develop annual and short-term operation plans, including runoff forecasts using current forecasting techniques and properly developed formulas. Provide oversight of reservoir operations to support effective and efficient water management. Develop or modify reservoir operating criteria to maximize the beneficial use of stored water and support operational objectives. Performs or coordinates technical planning activities and reviews technical documentation including operating procedures, impact assessments, and emergency action plans. Provide technical guidance and leadership to lower-graded employees assisting with implementation of the reservoir operations program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a U.S. citizen or national. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
