Full-Time About Group-IPS Group-IPS is an international engineering and project management company delivering capital investment projects for leading industrial manufacturers. We partner with our clients from concept through commissioning, providing engineering, project management, procurement support, and construction management services for complex industrial projects. The Opportunity We are looking for a Project Engineer who enjoys solving problems in active manufacturing and construction environments. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you'll work directly with production, maintenance, contractors, equipment suppliers, and engineering partners to safely deliver capital projects. You'll be involved in every phase of a project from developing concepts and budgets through construction, commissioning, and startup. Key Responsibilities Project Management Lead capital (CAPEX) projects from concept through commissioning. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans. Coordinate engineering consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors. Track project costs and schedule performance. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Provide regular project updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Construction Management Coordinate contractor activities during installation. Monitor construction progress and resolve field issues. Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Support shutdown planning and equipment installations. Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site safety requirements. Technical Coordination Coordinate projects involving but not limited to: Process equipment installation Process piping Pumps and valves Steam and condensate systems Chilled water systems Compressed air systems Water and wastewater utilities HVAC systems Electrical power distribution Instrumentation and controls Automation systems Packaging equipment Plant utilities and infrastructure Client Relationships Build strong relationships with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams. Lead meetings and coordinate project stakeholders. Represent Group-IPS professionally on-site. Deliver practical solutions while maintaining project objectives. Mobility to customer sites for extended missions is a requirement of all IPS staff. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industrial experience. 2+ years of experience supporting industrial capital projects or equivalent. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable working in active manufacturing facilities. Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Experience with:
Industrial utilities Mechanical and process piping Facility expansions Equipment installation Contractor management Construction supervision Shutdown planning Controls and instrumentation Cost estimating Project scheduling Food & beverage, pharmaceutical, life sciences, consumer products, or other manufacturing industries or equivalent Software Experience with: Microsoft Project Microsoft Excel AutoCAD (or similar) What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Takes ownership and works independently. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
