In this pivotal role, you will coordinate with vendors and drafters, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, and code-compliant structural solutions. Your expertise will drive project success from conceptual development through detailed design, utilizing advanced engineering tools and practices. Duties Develop comprehensive structural designs for homeowners ensuring adherence to all relevant building codes and construction regulations. Lead project planning and scheduling efforts, coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to meet deadlines and budget expectations. Review structural analysis calculations and designs done in Structurecalc, Revit, and AutoCAD to ensure precise models and drawings. Conduct thorough building code analysis and ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal standards. Oversee the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and construction documents with clear technical writing. Manage project engineering tasks including system design, material selection, and construction oversight to ensure quality control. Maintain effective client communication throughout project lifecycle to address concerns and provide technical guidance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering. Listed as a New York State Professional Engineer. Proven experience in structural design of residential repairs and renovations. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, UpCodes, FutureLot, and Microsoft for drafting and documentation. Strong understanding of building codes, construction regulations, and safety standards applicable to various structural systems. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, management, and delivering projects on time while maintaining high quality standards. Experience with developing structural designs for steel frameworks, concrete structures, masonry systems, and geotechnical foundations. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to interpret observations accurately and produce detailed reports aligned with industry best practices.
