About QCI Group™ (QCI) QCI is an Ohio engineering firm providing independent construction observation, inspection, contract administration, construction management, and owner's representation services for public and private sector projects for more than 40 years. Position Overview QCI is seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer with strong knowledge of Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) standards and procedures to support public works projects in the Cleveland area. This position is responsible for contract administration, project coordination, client communication, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage engineering projects throughout the construction lifecycle. Oversee and coordinate QCI personnel assigned to public and private projects. Attend project, construction, and planning meetings and maintain communication with stakeholders. Coordinate with permitting, zoning, and planning officials to address project issues. Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality, and contract compliance. Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects. Ensure project documentation and administrative requirements are completed accurately and timely. Qualifications Associate degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of construction experience with demonstrated knowledge of ODOT Construction and Material Specifications . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management software preferred. Working Conditions Field-based position requiring standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Work may occur outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental conditions.
