What You'll Do:
Inspection and Assessment :
Perform bridge inspections, compile thorough inspection reports, and complete load rating assessments for both simple and complex bridge structures.
Structural Analysis and Design :
Perform structural analyses and prepare comprehensive design calculations for bridges and related transportation infrastructure.
Project Documentation :
Develop detailed contract drawings, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and study reports.
Team Collaboration and Delivery :
Collaborate with interdisciplinary design teams to support project delivery on schedule and within budget.
Leadership and Mentorship :
Mentor entry-level engineers and lead assigned task orders efficiently and effectively. What You Need to
Succeed:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in bridges or structures, from an ABET-accredited university 4+ years of experience in bridge inspection, design, structural analysis, or related transportation infrastructure work Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure within two months of employment Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work Proficiency with structural analysis and design software, such as: Leap Bridge, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, MiDAS, LPile, MathCAD, BrR, FB Multipier Working knowledge of applicable design codes, including
AASHTO LRFD
Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, SCDOT Bridge Design Manual, SCDOT Seismic Design Specifications Experience with structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete structures
Compensation:
The approximate compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
