Responsibilities Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and analysis to determine subsurface conditions. Develop detailed geotechnical reports that include recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, earthworks, and soil improvement techniques. Utilize advanced technical engineering tools such as GeoStudio, HEC-HMS (Hydrologic Engineering Center's Hydrologic Modeling System), Mathcad, and Hydrologic analysis tools to support project planning and design. Collaborate with civil engineers, construction managers, and project teams to integrate geotechnical findings into project schematics, stormwater management systems, and civil infrastructure designs. Manage project scheduling and oversee construction management activities related to geotechnical components, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Prepare technical documentation including engineering reports, schematics, and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and CAD software. Participate in permitting phases by providing technical input for regulatory submissions and managing client communication throughout project lifecycles. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with specialization in geotechnics or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience managing projects within the geotechnical engineering domain with a focus on civil infrastructure projects. Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation; experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction inspection processes, project management principles, and construction estimating techniques. Knowledge of hydrological modeling tools (HEC-RAS/Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System) and stormwater system design is essential. Excellent technical writing skills for generating engineering reports and documentation; ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Demonstrated leadership in team settings with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
