Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting and managing structural engineering projects from planning through completion in an on-site role based in Lindale, TX. This full-time position includes preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, and construction documents, and coordinating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks involve assisting with project planning and scheduling, participating in design meetings, performing site visits, and responding to technical questions during construction. The Project Engineer will help ensure that designs comply with applicable codes and standards, support quality control reviews, and contribute to BIM workflows and documentation. The role also includes monitoring project progress, communicating status to owners, and helping resolve engineering and construction issues in the field. Qualifications Project Engineering skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building systems and structural designs. Project Management and Project Planning skills to organize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong Communication skills for clear written and verbal interaction with team members, clients, and contractors. Proficiency with industry-standard engineering and design tools (e.g., BIM software, structural analysis programs, CAD). Understanding of building codes, standards, and best practices related to structural systems. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering); EIT or PE licensure in Texas is preferred or a clear path toward licensure. Ability to work on-site in Lindale, TX, perform occasional field observations, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
