3 Years Description Barton & Loguidice is seeking an Engineer II/Project Engineer to join our Site/Civil design team. We are looking for a motivated civil engineer with 4+ years of experience in site and civil design who is interested in working on a wide variety of public and private sector projects while continuing to grow technically and professionally. Our Site/Civil design team consists of civil engineers, landscape architects, and community planners who collaborate to deliver projects from concept planning and master planning through final design, bidding, construction administration, and construction observation. We develop complete site design solutions, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, construction details, technical specifications, and bid documents. As part of a multidisciplinary firm, you will collaborate with landscape architects, community planners, transportation engineers, water/wastewater engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, architects, and other specialists to deliver holistic and sustainable solutions for our clients. The projects we design are diverse and impactful, including: Parks, plazas, and public gathering spaces Municipal streetscapes and downtown revitalization projects Athletic fields, sports complexes, and recreational facilities (K-12, higher ed.) Trails, shared-use paths, sidewalks, and pedestrian networks School campuses and educational facilities Parking lots, roadways, access drives, and circulation systems Public infrastructure and site development projects Grant-funded community improvement and waterfront revitalization projects Private development and institutional site design projects Responsibilities Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management design concept and design contract drawings Develop projects from concept plans and master plans, through funding applications and final construction documents Perform stormwater management analyses and design calculations Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), drainage reports, and related permitting documents Develop construction details, technical specifications, front-end specifications, quantity and cost estimates, and bid documents Coordinate and meet with project teams, clients, regulatory and funding agencies, and contractors Support bidding services, construction administration, construction observation, and SWPPP inspections Mentor, collaborate with, and review work completed by junior staff - contribute to a positive team environment Serve as technical lead and/or project manager of assigned projects, assuming increasing responsibility for project coordination, client interaction, and technical leadership based on experience Assist with prospective efforts, including preparing scopes, effort hour and fee estimates Requirements B.S. in Civil Engineering 3-8 years of consulting engineering experience Strong technical experience in site design, grading plans, drainage, and stormwater management Experience preparing construction plans, details, technical specifications, and bid documents Strong understanding of site development constructability Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attendance at municipal and planning board meetings, public informational meetings and hearings EIT certification, PE license, or ability to obtain licensure is preferred Successful candidates will have a genuine interest in shaping the built environment through thoughtful site design and sustainable planning solutions. Estimated Pay Range :
$88,000 - $110,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
