Architectural Designer/ Junior Architect

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
D'Asign Source is seeking a motivated architect with 1-3 years of professional experience to join our design team. We are looking for someone who thinks critically, approaches work with tenacity and consistency, and can develop work in a group or independently. The ideal candidate will support project architects and senior designers in developing design concepts, preparing architectural drawings, and coordinating with consultants throughout all phases of a project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the development of architectural design concepts from schematic design through construction documentation
  • Prepare and revise architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details using Revit (BIM)
  • Develop 3D models and design visualizations for presentations and client reviews
  • Support the production of permit and construction drawing sets
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants under the direction of senior staff
  • Conduct site analysis, zoning/code research, and basic feasibility studies
  • Participate in internal design reviews and client meetings as required
  • Respond to redlines and incorporate feedback efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Main work to be in-office with occasional travel to government offices and project sites to communicate with project teams, officials, and regulatory bodies
  • Able to conduct field walk-throughs with internal or external partners, as necessary.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Basic rendering skills using tools such as Enscape, D5 Render
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Office 365 applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Planner, Project)
  • Required to be proactive with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, workflow and timelines
  • Demonstrates integrity, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in an architectural firm or design-build company (preferred)
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes (preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential functions require sitting, using hands and fingers, communicating, listening, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and having close vision with focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
