Today Job Description Senior Designer In the heart of Iowa, our client is a progressive firm that designs, manufactures and oversees the installation of customized grain handling equipment. With new management, they have set the pace for additional growth and an employee friendly culture. They are seeking a Site Designer/Senior Site Designer. What the company will offer you: Competitive pay based on experience $65,000
  • 80,000 for Designer $80,000
  • 110,000 for Senior level Designer 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match
  • 5% match Profit-sharing program
  • 15% for this position Paid time off and paid holidays Ongoing training and career development The role you will play: Lead facility design of bulk material handling equipment while working with other design, engineering, installation, fabrication and millwright teams.
Develop designs and drawings, fully integrating the company products in to use with other company equipment and machinery. Coordinate product lines with Material Handling Engineering Lead. Review and approve layout work design before it is received by the engineer of record of the customer. Research to determine compliance with applicable federal, state and municipal codes. Present designs to customers and other stakeholders in projects
Job Requirements Background Profile:
  • AAS or higher in applicable field.
  • 6 or more years of experience in facility plant and industrial material handling equipment.
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Experience with working with multi-disciplinary fields, other engineering and design staff, and mentoring less experienced designers.
  • Layout, planning and equipment use across a variety of industrial facilities.
  • Ownership of design, scope, schedule and budget of projects that are assigned to you.
  • All candidates must be US Citizens or permanent residents of the US.
