• 100% employee-owned The Work If you've put together a plan set before, or spent enough time around one to know why the detail sheets matter, you already recognize most of this job. The projects are street reconstructions, water and sewer extensions, wells, stormwater systems, sidewalks, and trails for cities, counties and other public entities across North Idaho and Eastern Washington. Mostly public work, which means real bid documents, real deadlines, and a contractor who will call when something on your sheet doesn't add up. We're not looking for someone who's mastered this. We're looking for someone a few years in, or coming out of a drafting or civil program, who has the fundamentals and wants to improve fast. The people who are happiest here like the puzzle of it: taking a pile of complicated information and making it clear enough that someone can build from it. If that sounds tedious rather than satisfying, this probably isn't the right seat, and we'd rather you know that up front. Who We're Looking For Past the technical fundamentals, we hire for three things: You ask instead of guessing. You'd rather flag something you don't understand at 9:00 than hand in a sheet you weren't sure about at 4:00. You own your work. You finish what's yours, check it before someone else has to, and go looking for the next thing. You're good with people. Engineers, surveyors, and project managers here are busy. You communicate clearly, willingly collaborate, and can tell when someone needs the short version. Bring some Civil 3D time, schooling, internship, or a job, and a working sense of how civil plans go together. We'll teach you our standards, our clients, and the way we like a sheet put together. We're not expecting you to arrive knowing those.
