Job Description

McPhee Associates is an award-winning family-owned, design and build firm that has been building and remodeling high-end Cape Cod residences since 1972. We are seeking a talented Residential Architectural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate is skilled in producing clear construction documents and comfortable working across all phases of a project—from concept through permitting and construction plans.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in residential architecture and design Bachelor's degree (or greater) in Architecture Strong understanding of residential construction methods and detailing Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD Knowledge of local building codes and zoning regulations Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Excellent communication, oral and written Excellent organizational and listening skills Demonstrates strong commitment to quality Capable of working in a fast-paced collaborative environment Strong ability to manage client relationships
Responsibilities:
Research town departments about projects in preparation of design Prepare permit and planning submittal packages Field measure properties and develop existing conditions plans Develop residential designs from schematic design through construction documents Develop interior trim and cabinetry plans Create electrical layouts Produce detailed drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details Meeting with clients and developing a professional relationship Collaborate with principals, project managers, consultants, and clients Coordinate with structural, MEP, and energy consultants Assist with product selection, materials, and detailing Respond to plan check comments and construction RFIs Support construction administration as needed This is a full-time, in-person role at our East Dennis office. Candidate should possess a clean, professional appearance and a friendly, positive attitude to contribute to the team. Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and examples of their work.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
