Energy Management Field Technician Compensation:
$ 60320 - 80704 annually, depending on experience
Location:
Thermal, California Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Energy Management Field Technician to join their team! This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically inclined professional who enjoys solving complex field challenges and supporting critical natural gas operations. In this role, you'll work with advanced equipment, control systems, and instrumentation while helping ensure safe, reliable performance at customer sites. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair gas equipment and systems Support LNG, CNG, process, and rotating equipment operations Calibrate sensors, transmitters, and control loops Work with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and electrical diagrams Perform low-voltage electrical testing and diagnostics Document maintenance, repairs, and daily field activity Train staff, contractors, and customers on system use Support safety procedures and regulatory compliance Travel to project locations as needed
Required Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required 2+ years with AC/DC circuits and motor controls 2+ years of PLC wiring and low-voltage troubleshooting 2+ years working with process instrumentation 2+ years reading P&IDs and electrical drawings 2+ years in natural gas operations or similar equipment environments Ability to operate vehicles safely and maintain a valid driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to use Word, Excel, email, and mobile apps Nice to
Have Skills & Experience:
Technical electrical certificate GTI Energy Certificate for natural gas infrastructure Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Click PLCs HMI hardware and software experience Knowledge of LNG and CNG process flow Mechanical experience with compressors or engine systems Texas Railroad Commission LNG/CNG certification Experience with control systems and automation sequences
