DESCRIPTION

The Engineering / Automation Technician supports AEES's Engineering & Automation Division with the installation, repair, and modification of electrical control systems in industrial environments. This role involves hands-on technical work, customer support, and collaboration with internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems and automation equipment. Assist in job planning, material handling, and tool management for successful project completion. Provide technical support to customers and coworkers. Maintain documentation, including reports, time & materials tickets, and job quotations. Represent AEES professionally on job sites and maintain positive customer relations.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in reading schematics and working with PLCs, drives, and instrumentation. Experience with industrial electrical systems (480V 3-phase, 110VAC, 24VDC). Familiarity with AC/DC drives, servo systems, and motion controllers. Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar equipment and interpret technical manuals. Competent in Microsoft Office and writing technical reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver's license and transportation. High School Diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of industrial electrical or automation experience. Must pass drug/alcohol screening and background check. Authorized to work in the

U.S. WORKING CONDITIONS

It will vary depending on the particular job. You may work in changing weather conditions and temperatures. Able to work 8 to 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.
