Electronics Technician (Power Electronics & Testing)

Electronics Technician Location:
Walpole, MA
Salary Range:
$65K - $90K (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, test, and repair UPS systems and power electronics down to the component level
Set up and operate electronic test equipment to diagnose product defects
Document failure symptoms, repair actions, and test results
Analyze repair data to identify trends and support root cause analysis
Partner with sustaining and design engineers to resolve product issues and implement improvements
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring defects and recommending corrective actions
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
Follow ISO procedures and production quality standards
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Support engineering changes and product updates (ECOs)
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical training
3+ years of experience testing and repairing power electronics at the component level
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and electronic loads
Strong soldering skills, including SMT components
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
Experience with troubleshooting tools and software (e.g., serial communication tools like PuTTY or HyperTerminal)
Familiarity with 8D or similar structured problem-solving methods
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Benefits Competitive Salary
