Job Description

GridSource is currently seeking Fiber Technicians in Caro, MI .
Sign-On Bonus:
$2500 Qualified candidates must be fully tooled and have a Truck, Van or SUV to carry a ladder. A 28-foot Fiberglass Ladder with Midspan Hooks and V-rung is also required. Fiber Installers are engaged with performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet. Also, the wiring and equipment of data and voice networks. What you'll do: Perform Residential fiber installation Observe all safety rules and regulations Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers Actively support sales and marketing related activities Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed) Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions Active Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge) Assume all other duties as assigned What you'll need: Must have experience in the field of Residential Fiber Installation. Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack and 28' fiberglass ladder with V-rung and mid-span hooks as well as all climbing equipment Technician must have their own tools to perform the job. An Android Smart phone is also a requirement. Technician must have some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, and safety cones. Other PPE may be required by local management. Must be available to work flexible hours. Weekend work may be required. Must be able to pass Background and Drug screening. Must have a good driving record. Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. continuously. Able to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
