4-6 month assignment - Test Lab Tech The Test Lab Temp supports the R&D laboratory in prototype testing. This role is responsible for test setup, hands-on testing, selecting appropriate equipment and test methods, and creating test reports. This position also contributes to basic fixture build, equipment-troubleshooting, and test data collection and documentation to support creating test reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work under direction of R&D Test Lab Supervisor to support testing activities. Display a professional and collaborative attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams. Read, interpret and apply testing specifications, standards and requirements accurately to ensure proper test setup execution. Prepare and organize test samples before testing. Design and build fixtures required for test preparation. Perform routine performance testing following training. Maintain accurate records of test data, observation and results. Participate in regular alignment meetings with engineering teams. Success Measures Test setups and results are consistently accurate, with minimal errors or rework required. Testing is completed on schedule, supporting project milestones and minimizing delays. Demonstrate proficiency in operating test equipment, interpreting specifications, and executing test methods independently follow training. Maintain good communication and alignment with R&D supervisors, co-workers, and engineering teams Qualifications Mechanical-related work experience or high school degree of mechanical aptitude required or equivalent Military/Technical training Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting. Basic troubleshooting and fixture-building skills. Ability to work independently in solving problems. Ability to follow technical instructions and work both independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift/push/pull fine motor skills/tasks; use of PPE. Be aware of safety concerns and report or resolve the issue in a timely manner Work in test lab and office settings.
