Western Diversified Plastics is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Technician to support our third-shift manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated assembly equipment, PLCs, robotics, machine vision systems, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is a self-driven troubleshooter who can work independently to minimize downtime and support production. Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues on automated production equipment. Diagnose Allen-Bradley PLC hardware, software, I/O, and communication faults. Troubleshoot robotics, machine vision systems, servo systems, and automated assembly equipment. Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics. Perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, upgrades, and machine improvements. Verify machine safety systems are operating properly. Document repairs, identify root causes, and communicate equipment status to production and maintenance. Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning as needed. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical, automation, or controls troubleshooting experience. Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment. Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics. Experience with industrial electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently on third shift. Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred. Preferred Experience Fanuc, Universal Robots, or Yamaha robots Keyence or Datalogic vision systems Servo drives, industrial networking, and remote I/O Automated assembly equipment, bowl feeders, and inline systems

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely work around industrial manufacturing equipment.
