Vending Equipment Technician

Job Description

Primary Purpose The Vending Equipment Technician is primarily responsible for keeping Vizion Vending's vending machines and micro-market equipment operating reliably. This hands-on position troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, payment, refrigeration, connectivity, and telemetry issues; performs preventive maintenance; and works to minimize equipment downtime and repeat service calls. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair snack, beverage, combination, refrigerated, and frozen vending equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems involving motors, switches, sensors, control boards, wiring, and related components. Install, diagnose, and repair bill validators, coin mechanisms, credit card readers, kiosks, scanners, and other payment systems. Maintain and troubleshoot micro-market equipment, including kiosks, coolers, freezers, and related equipment. Resolve connectivity and telemetry issues and monitor system dashboards and reports. Respond promptly to service tickets, equipment outages, and urgent repair needs. Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns, extend equipment life, and improve equipment uptime. Test repaired equipment before closing service tickets and document repairs, parts used, equipment condition, and follow-up needs. Support equipment installations, removals, relocations, and preparation of equipment for customer locations. Maintain an organized inventory of commonly used replacement parts, tools, and repair supplies. Identify equipment that is becoming unreliable or too costly to repair and recommend repair, refurbishment, or replacement. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, customer experience, and sales performance. Cleanliness and organization are core to our operation. All employees are expected to contribute to maintaining a clean warehouse, repair area, service vehicle, tools, parts inventory, and facility grounds, including daily trash removal. Additional duties may be assigned by the employee's supervisor as business needs require. Success Metrics Equipment uptime and reliability Response time and mean time to repair Percentage of repairs completed on the first visit Reduction in repeat service calls Completion of preventive maintenance Accuracy of service-ticket and repair documentation Proper management of replacement parts and repair inventory Overall condition and readiness of company equipment
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
