Full-time Role Overview We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician on behalf of our client to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power and automated control systems. In this role, you will work within an industrial plant environment to maintain low-voltage/medium-voltage (LV/MV) motors, switchgear, PLCs, and precision instrumentation, ensuring uninterrupted plant operations and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities •
Electrical Maintenance:
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repairs on LV/MV motors, motor control centers (MCC), LV/MV switchgear, and plant power distribution systems. •
Automation & Instrumentation:
Execute PLC troubleshooting, basic programming adjustments, and calibration/repair of industrial instrumentation. •
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and recommend cost-reduction or productivity-enhancing initiatives; participate in technical and safety cross-training programs. •
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to facility environmental guidelines, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and safety procedures to eliminate workplace hazards. •
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with process teams and external contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Candidate Qualifications •
Education:
High School Diploma or GED. •
Experience:
2 to 4 years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience, OR an equivalent combination of technical education, apprenticeship, and field experience. •
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of industrial electrical theory, low-voltage control systems, and electrical safety standards. •
Travel:
Less than 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or Industrial Automation.
Safety & Health Requirements:
• Ability to adhere to all safety protocols and properly utilize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including tight-fitting respirators where designated. •
