Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Automation Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated systems and machinery to ensure seamless production operations. Your expertise will drive efficiency, safety, and quality across our manufacturing processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA, Allen-Bradley, and other automation equipment to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret technical schematics, AutoCAD drawings, and control system diagrams to diagnose faults accurately. Support field service activities by diagnosing problems on-site at facilities or manufacturing plants. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement modifications or upgrades to control systems such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Calypso software. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to electrical systems, high voltage operations, and industrial maintenance procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, calibration records, and system configurations for audit purposes. Requirements Proven experience working as an industrial electrician or automation technician within Oil and Gas environments. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, sensors, calibration techniques, and schematics reading. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including programming, troubleshooting, and configuration. Familiarity with vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems (DCS). Ability to work with precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing tools. Knowledge of electrical experience spanning low voltage to high voltage systems in industrial settings. Experience supporting field service operations at customer sites with excellent customer service skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex schematics and technical documents accurately.
