CheckSum is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Technician to support its production and design teams. CheckSum is a leading supplier of board test systems and part programming solutions. Job Overview The Electrical Engineering Technician will be responsible for set up, repair, and maintenance of electronics test systems and electronic circuit boards. The ideal candidate has good problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and good manual dexterity. This position is full time, provides a full benefits package, and pays $60,000 to $70,000 per year. This position works on-site at our Arlington location. Key Responsibilities of the
Electrical Engineering Technician:
Test, debug, diagnose, and repair electronics hardware Maintain on-site systems Solder fine-pitch components Analyze and report on technical data Improve, develop, and build test processes and setups Manage projects and timelines to meet company objectives, monitoring and reporting on project progress Provide customer support, estimate damage, and calculate the cost of repairs Manage parts, material and equipment with accuracy and accountability Assist with production testing Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on technical tasks What the successful Electrical Engineering Technician will have: Associate degree, apprenticeship as electronics technician, or other certification or equivalent experience 5+ years' hands-on experience with electronics testing and repair Experience with electronics test and manufacturing industry is preferred Knowledge of electronic circuits, including understanding of analog and digital circuit operation, and ability to interpret datasheets and electrical schematics Familiarity with the use of digital meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies Skilled at written and verbal communication in English Ability to work independently and as part of a team Customer-oriented work ethic Strong analytical skills and an enthusiasm for solving problems
Compensation Range:
