Location:
Palm Beach, FL Job Overview Prefer Early stage electrical engineer with experience with Power BI and Understanding of Renewables technology ( Power Plants) •
CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO PASS REGULATORY TRAINING, BACKGROUND & PSYCH CHECKS
•Responsible for performing engineering assignments ranging from limited scope and complexity to advanced engineering projects requiring expertise in multiple disciplines. Works under varying levels of supervision depending on experience, with increasing independence at higher levels. Assist with project management, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting. Responsibilities may include planning, organizing, and managing engineering projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading technical teams. Engages in decision-making, technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight, with a focus on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. Can also work as an extension of the engineering team, ensuring designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance and reliability goals. Specialized Engineering Functions (will be mentioned as per requirement):
Electrical/I&C Engineering:
Electric distribution system, Power systems, ladder logic, safe shutdown analysis, computational tools (ETAP, EDISON).
Mechanical Engineering:
Pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards.
Civil/Structural Engineering:
Designs and manages civil infrastructure components, including foundations, site grading, and drainage systems - Seismic qualification, pipe supports, GT Strudel, welding, rigging.
MOV Valve Engineering:
Diagnostics, troubleshooting, valve program management.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
Relevant Experience:
0 - 5 years of experience in engineering studies and analysis, applying engineering-related disciplines to solve moderate difficulty assignments. Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and control systems using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Support system testing and validation activities, including debugging circuits with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other testing equipment. Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures or performance issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate on system development verification using simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or SystemVerilog to ensure functionality aligns with project specifications. Contribute to manufacturing processes by supporting PCB design, surface mount technology assembly, and soldering procedures. Ensure compliance with electrical building codes (such as NEC), NFPA 70 standards, and industrial automation safety protocols. Assist in developing automation solutions and programming control systems using languages such as Python, C++, or scripting languages like Perl or Perl. Provides interpretations and conclusions from data, develops technical documentation, and gives technical guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians. Prepares job cost estimates, pole bore details, NJUNS forms, and any other required documents and reports for construction and maintenance projects. Promotes a safe and inclusive work environment.
Other:
Develops expertise in engineering standards, project coordination, and decision-making. Skills Proficiency in electrical schematic design and electronics design principles. Experience with FPGA programming, SystemVerilog, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Knowledge of PCB design software and manufacturing processes including surface mount technology. Familiarity with signal processing techniques and vision inspection systems. Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Strong understanding of electrical systems integration within industrial automation environments. Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting using simulation tools like MATLAB or Simulink. Mechanical knowledge related to electrical enclosures and mechanical engineering principles is a plus. Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role is preferred.
