Candidate should be knowledgeable with Electrical system design for building construction, upgrades, and alternative energy. Candidate should have good written and communication skills and a proven work ethic. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Design and analysis of low voltage (600V and under) building electrical systems. Design and analysis of commercial and residential PV and wind systems. Perform CAD using AutoCAD, Visio, and other design products. Manage drafting and design support personnel. Perform site visits. Work closely with business owners, contractors, and city and county personnel. Manage projects through conceptual, design and construction phases. Monitor current trends in the electrical and alternative energy industries.
Minimum Qualifications:
4 year degree, B.S. Electrical Engineering. Thorough knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and City and County of Honolulu codes and Statutes. Able to work with defined deadlines and under time constraints. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite of business software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive work ethic and integrity is a must. Knowledge of grounding and lighting control systems. Ability to work closely with clients and contractors. Planning and budgeting skills.
