Project & Continuous Improvement Engineer Capital Improvements

Job Description

Leads capital projects, plant engineering initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment performance, OEE, quality, waste reduction, energy conservation, safety, and operating cost improvements. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another applicable engineering discipline. Project engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience managing capital improvement projects. Experience managing projects from concept through implementation, startup, and closeout. Experience developing project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets. Experience supporting equipment, facility, environmental, or process improvement projects. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma principles. Experience developing or maintaining engineering drawings and technical documentation. Experience working with plant equipment, manufacturing processes, and facility systems. Preferred Skills Manufacturing plant engineering experience. Experience improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Experience with waste reduction and cost-reduction initiatives. Experience with energy conservation projects. Experience with equipment reliability and performance improvement. Experience supporting environmental and safety compliance initiatives. Experience preparing capital expenditure requests or CER documentation. Experience developing process flow diagrams, electrical prints, site drawings, and equipment drawings. Lean or Six Sigma certification. Job Responsibilities Manage capital and expense projects from initial concept through final completion. Develop project scopes, technical requirements, justifications, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets. Support preparation of capital expenditure requests and related project documentation. Coordinate installation, implementation, startup, and closeout of new equipment and facility improvements. Manage environmental, facility, equipment, and manufacturing process improvement projects. Coordinate project activities involving Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Environmental, contractors, and other plant resources. Develop equipment concepts, designs, and manufacturing process improvements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting OEE, product quality, waste reduction, energy usage, safety, equipment performance, and operating costs. Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to identify and implement process improvements. Develop and maintain plant site drawings, equipment drawings, process flow diagrams, electrical prints, and other technical documentation. Track project schedules, expenditures, implementation milestones, and completion status. Support environmental and safety compliance activities related to engineering projects and plant operations.
