Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Butte, Montana. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PLC programming, C#/.NET application development, and motion control systems . This role involves designing, developing, commissioning, and supporting advanced control systems used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Design and develop control systems for industrial and manufacturing applications. Create point-to-point wiring schematics and electrical documentation. Define electrical and electronic component specifications. Develop and maintain PLC-based control solutions using
IEC 61131-3
standards. Design and support C#/.NET applications for control and automation systems. Perform system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities. Integrate and optimize motion control systems, including rotary and linear servo motors. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on electrical, firmware, and software requirements. Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 2-10 years of Controls Engineering experience. Strong experience with PLC Programming (IEC 61131-3) . Hands-on experience with C#/.NET Application Development . Experience in control system installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Experience working with motion control systems, including servo motors. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen due to project and security requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing custom control algorithms. Experience with embedded systems programming. Knowledge of electronics and circuit board-level systems. Background in aerospace, defense, automation, or manufacturing industries. Familiarity with advanced motion control applications. $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
