Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for the uptime and optimization of complex manufacturing systems. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting to drive operational efficiency and ensure our production lines run at peak performance. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex issues within industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, to minimize equipment downtime. Execute preventative maintenance schedules and perform emergency repairs on electro-mechanical systems to ensure long-term equipment reliability. Configure, calibrate, and program automated production machinery to meet precise manufacturing specifications. Manage electrical infrastructure projects, including conduit installation, wiring, and component termination, in accordance with safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and system modifications within the CMMS to support continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine work instructions and optimize process flow documentation for enhanced operational output. Perform bench-level diagnostics and rebuilds on offline components to maintain a robust inventory of ready-to-use spare parts. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Certification, or 3+ years of equivalent industrial experience. Strong proficiency with 3-phase electrical systems, including 120/277/480V distribution and wiring. Proven ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs, specifically Allen-Bradley/RSLogix environments. Experience maintaining and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo drive systems. Preferred Skills Advanced knowledge of process control loops, including 4-20 mA signals and analog feedback systems. Hands-on experience with industrial temperature control and instrumentation. Certification or documented experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering schematics and technical blueprints.
